What Does Offering Everything to Krishna Mean in Practice?
Offering everything to Krishna and doing everything for Krishna implies dedicating all actions, thoughts, and even outcomes to the Divine. This approach transforms mundane activities into spiritual practices and fosters a deeper connection with God.
According to the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 9, Verse 27), Krishan states:
“Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer as oblation, whatever you bestow as a gift, and whatever austerities you perform, do them as an offering to me.”
This verse encourages individuals to see all actions as opportunities for devotion, integrating spirituality into every aspect of life. Devotion should not be confined to worship in temples but must be engaged in continuously throughout daily experiences.
Furthermore, Chapter 3, Verse 30 conveys:
“Performing all works as an offering unto Me, constantly meditate on Me as the Supreme. Become free from desire and selfishness, and with your mental grief departed, fight!”
This indicates that actions should be carried out with the understanding that they are for the pleasure of God rather than personal gain. By doing this, we align our will with the Divine will, and in turn, our actions become spiritual offerings.
